Last month, we co hosted our first ever Builders Exchange Summit alongside our friends at Gamebeast and the energy in Seattle did not disappoint.
The evening was held at Gamebeast's headquarters, where Gamebeast CEO Zander Brumbaugh opened the night alongside Basket Entertainment CEO Samuel Chessler and COO Jacob Carey. Together, they set the tone for an evening that was thoughtful, energized, and focused on what's possible when the right people are in the same room.
Developers, artists, marketers, game creators, and UGC builders gathered alongside press and industry insiders who flew in specifically for the occasion (a signal that this conversation is bigger than any one studio or platform).
The main topic of the evening was one we care deeply about: the future of building together on Roblox. What does the next generation of UGC creation look like? Who are the builders shaping it? We also discussed how we find and support the best talent, particularly right here in Seattle, a city with a rich gaming legacy and a growing creative community that deserves a spotlight.
We also made an exciting announcement: the inaugural Builders Award. Presented jointly by Basket Entertainment and Gamebeast, this award will recognize the best builder in the Seattle area. More details on nominations and selection coming soon.
None of this happens without the right people. A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this evening to life: Zander Brumbaugh, Kelli Yamada, Brandon Wilcox, Jacob Carey, Amy Zehren and Samuel Chessler.
We left inspired. And more convinced than ever that the future of Roblox isn't just being built in studios; it's being built in moments like this one, where the right people find each other.
More events are coming. More cities, more conversations, more builders in the room. We're just getting started.
